Georg Zoeller o wielkości portu:
"The required size of the building would be larger than some planets.
We're displaying ships at realistic scale in the hangar, and a single hangar, as a result, is enormous. So if a few hundred players need space to park their ships, the resulting spaceport would be perfectly to scale, but probably larger than the actual planet.
Spaceports already are among the largest buildings in the game. They often extend above and below the surface of the planet on several levels and that is with instanced hangars.
A good analogy of what would be required is a building of the size of a major airport like Denver, Frankfurt or Heathrow. Imagine walking across that area realistic movement speed just to get outside to the planet. Doing it a couple of times per year in real life is annoying, and in an MMO you get to travel between planets a lot more in a lot more compressed timeframe.
Short: While it's an appealing idea, it would not add anything but realism to the game, and adding realism without justifiable gameplay value is generally not a great idea in games unless you are making simulations."
